Last night I got to check out the first ever New York City Chew Lips show. It was stunning, to say the least. If you’re not familiar with the band, do yourself a favor and check out their music – their record, Unicorn, has been on repeat in my apartment for some time now. Though they played a few shows down at SXSW, I wasn’t able to make it out to any of them, and until yesterday I completely forgot they were set to play one of my favorite venues, Littlefield, last night. Thankfully, I was able to make it work, and the band was gracious enough to grant me a portrait after their soundcheck. My favorite snaps from that session below, and keep your eyes open for my live shots from the night which should be going up on Brooklyn Vegan soon.
