Last night I went to check out Cate Le Bon at Union Hall. Despite not having her full band, her songwriting prowess is undeniable. The songs didn’t sound like they do on the album, but I had no objections to that – the stripped down versions just accentuated how beautiful her voice is and how finely crafted her songs are. I’m excited for everyone to hear Cate’s music - Me Oh My is out May 4 on The Control Group – and be sure to keep your ears out for her come September when she does her first full band dates in New York.
