The Canon Logic Released Their Record

A week or so back I got hired to shoot The Canon Logic‘s album release at Mercury Lounge. I wasn’t familiar with the band before the show, but had given their record, FM Arcade, a spin and was excited to check them out live. My first impression was that their music didn’t fit the profile of stuff I’d generally listen to, but over the course of the night I really warmed up to it. They had great energy and you could tell they were really excited to have a packed house to play to – the crowd was super into it as well. There was a clear crescendo throughout the show leading up to an unexpected cover of Arcade Fire’s “Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)” for the encore. It did the original justice. I didn’t see that one coming. Keep your ears open for these guys – they might start popping up everywhere.
