Unplugged in Bed-Stuy

Last night I went to the most recent installment of Unplugged in Bed-Stuy, a series of backyard/living room concerts at my friend Spencer’s house. I saw one of these events last summer and it was a blast, so I was excited to get back and see what else he had in store. The night consisted of Philip Seymour Hoffman (band, not actor), Ivana XL, Christopher Paul Stelling (who I last saw at Spencer’s benefit show at Glasslands last month), and Paul Holmes of Paul & The Patients. Chris Butler and Taylor Greenwood both stepped in for a few songs as well. It was a beautiful candle-lit event. Very intimate and a really cool experience. I hope these things keep happening – people don’t play music for each other much these days.
